🧭 About me

I help organisations govern AI responsibly — and communicate that credibly to their boards, regulators, and the public.
I'm a strategist, consultant, and researcher with a PhD in responsible tech and business, and nearly a decade of experience in strategic communications. I work at the intersection of AI governance, digital risk, and responsible technology — translating complex regulatory and ethical challenges into practical action that organisations can actually deliver.
What makes my work distinctive is the combination: I understand the governance frameworks and the human dynamics, the compliance obligations and the communication strategy, the policy language and how to make it land in a boardroom. I'm at my best where things are complicated — where the technical, the ethical, and the reputational all collide.
I lead on digital risk, AI literacy, and responsible tech culture at Culture of Business, a 360° AI governance consultancy. I also consult independently with organisations on positioning, narrative, and communication strategy for complex, high-stakes technology issues.

🔧 What I do

AI Governance & Digital Risk I help organisations understand their AI exposure, meet their legal obligations, and build governance structures that work in practice — not just on paper. Working with a specialist team at Culture of Business, this includes risk assessments, governance framework design, board briefings, and leadership training. I'm particularly effective at making governance accessible to non-technical leaders who need to own it.

Strategic Communications for Technology When organisations need to communicate about AI — to regulators, employees, clients, or the media — I help them find the right words. I advise on positioning, narrative development, and communication strategy for complex technology issues, particularly where regulation, ethics, and reputation intersect. I can also help organisations write about their technology in ways that build trust and demonstrate responsibility.

Training, Facilitation & Education With ten years of university lecturing and facilitation experience, I design and deliver programmes that genuinely change how people think about technology. Whether it's a half-day board session, an executive workshop, or a company-wide AI literacy programme — I help organisations build the understanding and culture needed to use technology well. I make difficult things clear, and I make the room feel safe enough to ask the questions people are afraid to ask.

Research & Speaking I write and speak internationally on AI governance, digital ethics, corporate accountability, and the politics of technology. My academic work covers responsible tech, digital authoritarianism, and corporate responsibility in authoritarian regimes. Available for conferences, executive education, panels, and media.
